some updates
I have things in progress - and that's always good...
I set one of the TBD goals -- #70: Get initiated into AEPhi with the UCI chapter
doing that would be the ultimate culmination of goals ever, since my dream over 6 years ago was to bring AEPhi to UCI and i then started a local sorority, which this year has finally become AEPhi, and i'm beyond stoked.
The only goal which is completed at this point is #82. Go to the mountains in the summer, which Dustin and I did... Though it was technically fall the mountains still felt pretty summery which is good enough for me!

updates...
There are a few things in the works, and a few which need to be changed, or at least have the numbers revised after having gone through some serious medical stuff the past few weeks with no real end in sight...
The candida diet is on hold, as is all exercise other than what is assigned by my physical therapist.
Dustin and I have been spending some us time which is good and have had some special Shabbat guests...
I was doing good on the gratitude journal until my hospital stay - so need to start that back up again.

the "unofficial fiance"
Since one person was bold enough to ask the question which may be on other's minds as well - here is how I can have an "unofficial fiance"
My boyfriend and I are planning to get married. Everyone in our lives knows this is where we headed and are excited. We have picked out and purchased an engagement ring, discussed the wedding and reception, and he has even discussed our date preference with our Rabbi's wife. All this aside, he has not put the ring on my finger, despite knowing it is going to be there soon.... thus, unofficial ;-)

The Challenge
The Mission:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.
The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).
Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple goals such as New Year's resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.
Some common goal setting tips:
1. Be decisive. Know exactly what you want, why you want it, and how you plan to achieve it.
2. Stay Focussed. Any goal requires sustained focus from beginning to end. Constantly evaluate your progress.
3. Welcome Failure. Frequently, very little is learned from a venture that did not experience failure in some form. Failure presents the opportunity to learn and makes the success more worthy.
4. Write down your goals. It clarifies your thinking and reinforces your commitment.
5. Keep your goals in sight. Review them frequently, and ensure that they are always at the forefront of your thinking.
